Upcoming Field Trip:
Holding together

This field trip will explore the idea of holding, an idea that’s connected to so many aspects of human experience.

Parents hold their children. Nations hold truths to be self-evident. Facilitators talk about holding space. We hold ourselves in the face of adversity. We hold on tight when sometimes we might let go.

So it’s worth exploring how do we hold. How do we hold those we work with? How do we hold experiences of anxiety, surprise, and frustration?

It’s partly inspired by this article by Gianpiero Petriglieri which challenges the idea that leadership is all about setting vision. We’ll explore more empathetic ways to work with people, especially in times of anxiety and stress.

In a small group we will share what holding means to us, and using activities and reflection explore how we hold ourselves and others. The learning will be driven by the needs and curiosity of participants, with possible guest hosts invited as the journey unfolds.

Dates and times will be agreed with participants, so if you’re interested, let us know below...
